Load Testing
All Slings manufactured by SlingMart are proof tested according to ASME B30.9.
Web Slings and Polyester Roundslings
- Each single- or multiple-leg slings and endless slings is proof loaded to a minimum of 2 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- All master links for two-leg bridle slings are proof loaded to a minimum of 4 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- All master links for three-leg bridle slings are proof loaded to a minimum of 6 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- All master links for four-leg bridle slings are proof loaded to a minimum of 8 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
Alloy Chain and Chain Mesh Slings
- Each single- or multiple-leg slings and endless slings is proof loaded to a minimum of 2 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- All master links for two-leg chain slings are proof loaded to a minimum of 4 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- All master links for three- and four-leg chain slings are proof loaded to a minimum of 6 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
Wire Rope Slings
- Mechanical splice slings, swaged socket and poured socket slings are proof loaded a minimum of 2 times and a maximum of 2.5 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- Hand-tucked slings is proof tested a minimum of 1 time and a maximum of 1.25 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- All master links for two-leg bridle slings are proof loaded to a minimum of 4 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- All master links for three-leg bridle slings are proof loaded to a minimum of 6 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
- All master links for four-leg bridle slings are proof loaded to a minimum of 8 times the single-leg straight-line hitch rated load.
Fabrication and Testing Equipment
SlingMart uses several different types of fabrication and testing equipment.
- Four swaging machines attach a wide variety of fittings; PROMEC 438 55 ton, PROMEC Q6000 175 ton, ESCO Mark 100 350 ton and Mark 150 500 ton presses.
- Markham high speed automatic cable cutter.
- High speed automatic web cutter, Singer and Consew Class 7 sewing machines.
- 200,000 lb. horizontal test bed.
- 12,000 lb. vertical test bed.
Quality Assurance
All of our slings go through a thorough quality control process.
- All materials are checked for any defects
- Experienced sewers and fabricators use company-standardized methods that comply with ANSI design standards.
- Products are checked by the Quality Control Manager before leaving our facility.
